Pilatos Statue

This is the last statue of the churchyard. It was Pilatos who received and granted the petition of José of Arimateia and Nicodemos, granting them the Jesus body.

The inscription, at the bottom of the monument, shows the information: «TUNC PILATUS JUSSIT REDDI CORPUS», translated: «then Pilatos commanded that his body were delivered to him. ».
