Sunamites

Sunamites

Always on the rise, we are going to meet the figure of Sunamites, embracing a palm tree, being accompanied at the base of the peanha, and inside a chart, the inscription: «STATURA TUA ASSIMILATA EST PALMAE … ET ODOR ORIS TUI SICUT MALORUM» translated: «Your stature is like a palm tree … and the smell of your mouth is like that of apples. »

Sunamites (Sulamita) presents herself strictly dressed and ornamented in the head, holding in the hands a palm tree, leaning against the left arm. In it is represented the purity of the Church, and in the love of her husband, the love of Christ for the Church his wife.
