The World Heritage in Portugal Photography Contest is open to all who wish to join this initiative with the following objectives:

a) promote creativity from the point of view of visual expression;

b) to value, promote and divulge the World Heritage of Portugal;

c) to explore the diversity of representations associated with the concept of memory;

d) fostering expression through photography;

e) stimulate the artistic spirit.

The winner of the contest will be awarded a cash prize of 5000 Euros.

The general theme of the contest is “World Heritage in Portugal”. The photos submitted to the contest may be of a more figurative or more abstract nature, but must be related to the proposed theme.

The photographic works must be sent to the UNESCO National Commission by September 30th 2023, as indicated in the Regulations.
