The Confraternity of the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte, following the guidelines of the competent entities and following the Directorate-General for Health, decided to open several areas of the Sanctuary.

Basília will open with a new timetable from
Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 16:45
on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm.

Entrance will be through the left side door (on the side of the Chapel of Bom Jesus) and the exit through the right side door (along to the sacristy), a signposted route was established inside so that there was no crossing of people, it is mandatory to maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters and the use of a mask is required inside the Basilica, at the entrance there will be a disinfectant gel dispenser.

If masses are not yet open to the public, the Brotherhood will start transmitting masses online, starting on May 10, every day, at 17:00 and can be followed on the Brotherhood’s social networks. the forest are open to circulation but respecting the proper guidelines for distance between people.

The elevator, the playground and the printing house will remain closed until the 18th of May, on that date the situation will be reevaluated and, if the pandemic situation slows down, these spaces may be opened.

The Confraria do Bom Jesus appeals to all visitors who comply with all the safety guidelines given by DGS, so that everyone can enjoy a unique space like the Bom Jesus Sanctuary.
