Glory Figuration

Glory Figuration

Going to the right and climbing a few more steps, we find ourselves facing the Glory Figuration. A slender woman, with loose hair, richly dressed, a band of pearls girded to the head, mantled with stars, raising with the right hand the figure of the Sun and in the left hand a palm leaf. At his feet a starry globe. The palm tree symbolizes victory, ascension, regeneration and immortality.

In the Latin inscription, supported by tiny pilasters, it reads: «OCULUS NON VIDIT, NEC AURIS AUDIVIT», translated: «the eye did not see or the ear heard», pointing out the constraints of the world and the mystery of life itself.
